Born in Albany, New York, Connor Carew moved to Rhode Island when his family founded the Providence Rescue Mission, a gospel rescue ministry serving individuals and families in need. Growing up in that environment shaped his understanding of service and purpose early on. He later studied finance and accounting at Liberty University while spending his summers interning at a Rhode Island hedge fund, an experience that ultimately set him on his investment path.

Since joining PermCap in 2016, Connor has worked closely with Chief Investment Officer John Regan to oversee the firm’s equities portfolios and guide portfolio construction across client mandates.

Connor leads PermCap’s faith-based vertical, an expanding initiative dedicated to serving mission-driven institutions. His commitment to this work is rooted in his experience serving at his family’s Christian homeless shelter where he continues to advise on financial oversight and strategic direction. He also serves on the advisory board of Athletes in Action – Pro Sports Ministry of New England.
